Welcome Aaron Lyons to Lakeside Pharmacy

At Lakeside Pharmacy, we believe great care starts with great people. We’re excited to introduce the newest member of our pharmacy team, Aaron Lyons, whose story is deeply connected to the Lloydminster community many of our patients call home.

A Lloydminster Local

Aaron’s connection to Lloydminster began early. After spending his first few years in Saskatoon, he moved here with his family when he was three years old. He grew up right here in our community, attending Barr Colony Elementary School, Bishop Lloyd Middle School, and later Lloydminster Comprehensive High School.

Like many students nearing graduation, Aaron wasn’t immediately sure what career path he wanted to follow. That changed during his Grade 12 year, when he discovered pharmacy — a moment that would shape the direction of his life and career.

Discovering a Passion for Pharmacy

Aaron’s first step into the profession began at the Superstore Pharmacy, where he worked part-time under the mentorship of Nicole Smith and her team. Starting with no pharmacy experience, Aaron quickly learned the foundations of patient care and pharmacy practice. More importantly, that experience ignited a passion for helping people through healthcare.

To pursue that passion, Aaron began his post-secondary education at Lakeland College, before continuing on to the University of Saskatchewan. The academic journey was demanding, but Aaron found strong support among fellow students — including close friend and study partner Kim Clarke — as they worked through challenging coursework and long nights preparing for exams.

Building a Career in Community Care

Aaron was accepted into the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Pharmacy and Nutrition, where he further developed the clinical knowledge and patient-focused approach that would define his career. Being in Saskatoon also allowed him to reconnect with extended family, whose encouragement helped support him throughout the program.

After graduating, Aaron returned home to Lloydminster to begin his career with Shoppers Drug Mart. Over the past 14 years, he has been privileged to serve patients and families throughout the community, building trusted relationships while providing personalized care.

During that time, Aaron expanded his professional expertise through several clinical certifications, including:

• Certified Bariatric Educator

• Certified Diabetes Educator

• Hypertension Management Certification

Joining the Lakeside Pharmacy Team

Today, Aaron begins a new chapter as part of the Lakeside Pharmacy team. His deep roots in the community, combined with his years of clinical experience and passion for patient care, make him an incredible addition to our team.

Aaron brings with him not only extensive knowledge, but also a genuine commitment to supporting the health and well-being of our patients and their families.
